Building Foundation
Mission: Lifting African children and families through eduction
Our mission is to improve education facilities and capacity in poor communities in Africa through school buildings, school wells, scholarships and school supplies. We are now working with 6 schools in southern Africa. We also provide scholarships for students who leave the free community elementary schools and have passed exams to go to middle or secondary schools. We have a few students continuing to vocational schools and university.
VillageSteps has started micro-enterprise funding for groups of mothers associated with the schools we support.
Thank you for your interest in VillageSteps and education in Africa. Exciting progress is being made and at our schools. Please review information on our site to see opportunities to partner with us to improve students' success. We build school buildings and water wells, provide lunch and school supplies, provide scholarships at all levels, and coordinate trips to build and to tutor at schools. We particularly emphasize assistance to girl students as they have many obstacles to their education.
By supporting VillageSteps you are providing a foundation for lifelong success for vulnerable children.
